Our last Olympic event today as we ventured over to the Seine to watch the men’s marathon runners come past at the 5km mark. It was a great spot with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

We then headed back to the hotel to watch the finish on TV before packing up for our flight to Lisbon, Portugal.
It has been a fantastic week of Olympics with excellent organisation, passionate crowds, exciting competition, friendly people and beautiful weather. Only great memories from here.
We arrived in Portugal where we met up with English Alison and Darren and their two boys Joseph and Matthew. We are staying a week with them in a house in the beachside suburb of Estoril.
