An epic trip to major sporting events throughout Europe & the USA

Welcome to a new Thorny adventure

Welcome to Thorny Devil’s Sporting Odyssey 2024.  Thorny will be watching and experiencing sporting events throughout Europe and the USA while travelling through 17 countries on his epic adventure.  He will be accompanied by Mamfa (middle-aged man from Ashburton) trying to relive past dreams of sporting greatness (they were just dreams).  Join this unlikely pair as they travel the continents in search of great sporting moments while soaking up the local passion for their teams.

The main events include the French Open tennis, a bike ride through the Baltic states, Euro Football Championships, Austrian Gran Prix, Tour de France, Paris Olympics, Premier League football, British Open golf, US Open tennis, Nascar, baseball, NFL and College Football and trying to find some other local sporting events along the way – maybe some darts, disc golf, cricket, cheese rolling or whatever comes up.

They will also do some sightseeing along the way so Mamfa can get his engineering nerdiness satisfied as well.
