A lazy day in Rennes today with a stroll to the market late morning and a walk around Lake d’Apigne. Sport fix for the day was a Palets tournament in Rennes (throwing a disc onto a board to get closest to the first disc thrown) and lots of Olympics on TV (great to be in the right timezone and not at work).

This day in sporting history (27 July)
1992 Japanese swimmer Kyoko Iwasaki wins the 200m breaststroke in Barcelona to become the youngest to win an Olympic gold medal at 14 years-6 days
