Another day of exploring Vienna which started at the 1441 room, 300 year old Schonbrunn Palace set on 160 hectares of gardens and grounds.

The Gloriette sat at the top of the hill looking back over the palace and the city.

The gardens were impressive and well maintained.

During our little bush walk, I managed to find some food.

The next stop was the Hundertwasser House which is a building that has been colourfully decorated. It is so great there are creative people in the world to produce things like this.

Finished with what you have to do in Vienna which was seeing a classical music concert. The venue and the music were great but ruined occasionally with people singing opera (much prefer just the music).

On the way home we saw a few buildings lit up at night.

On this day in sporting history (11 July)
1912 There are 6 medallists in the Stockholm Olympic pole vault; American Harry Babcock takes gold (3.95m); countrymen Frank Nelson and Marc Wright dead-heat for silver; 3-man dead-heat for bronze
