An epic trip to major sporting events throughout Europe & the USA

Day 42: Interlaken – Switzerland

The day started with rain and low cloud so going up into the mountains wasn’t an option.

However it cleared enough to do a long hike (17km) around the lake. Started out looking around Interlaken.

It seems some people come all the way to Switzerland to take selfies with fake scenery in a special museum – because obviously there is nothing good to see in the real world here 🤔.

And a Swiss Army Base

And some strange structure that turned out to be an indoor play centre.

After starting the planned walk along the lake edge, Mamfa saw an info board noting a different mountain route that went via some waterfalls. Given waterfalls are his favourite natural element, up we trekked.

A couple of very pleasant waterfalls and some great views across the lake.

Finished with a ferry ride back across the river.

“I’m king of the world – oops!”
