Background

Thorny Devil started his world travels in 2010 when he was friends with Jafa (Jake also from Ashburton).  Jafa and Thorny travelled to Thailand with Mamfa, Mawfa (middle-aged woman from Ashburton) and his sister Afa (Abby from Ashburton).

Thorny and Jafa were inseparable – until they were separated at a bus stop.  Thorny took the opportunity to travel the world and send post cards back to Jafa from Hong Kong,  Las Vegas, Denver, Mauritius and Portugal before posting himself back home.  He has been waiting patiently for 14 years for another adventure and it’s now happening.
