An epic trip to major sporting events throughout Europe & the USA

Day 53: Budapest (unplanned)

Our train to Zagreb was due to leave mid-afternoon so it was a lazy morning before checking out late and heading to the train station.

If there is one thing that sticks out in Budapest it is ATMs everywhere. It seems like every 10th shop has one and they are just randomly placed in the street like below.

Anyway after getting to the station a couple of hours before the train was due to leave, it didn’t come up on the departures board. When we finally found someone to help, we found out the train left from a different station on the other side of town and we didn’t have time to make it there and it was the only train of the day. So after booking another train for tomorrow and finding another hotel, we checked in and watched Netflix for the rest of the day.

“What to write about a Thorny Devil in Hungary?”
