An epic trip to major sporting events throughout Europe & the USA

Day 39: Dijon – Tour de France Stage 6

Today was all about the Tour de France with Stage 6 finishing in Dijon with a bunch sprint.

After Mamfa did a reconnaissance run down the finishing straight this morning, we found a spot on the last corner to get a good view. We got there 3 hours before the riders to get front row and a spot with both unobstructed view of the track and the big screen to watch the race.

Mamfa managed to pick up a bit of merchandise being thrown into the crowd.

We found a friend for a photo.

The official caravan was a crazy mix of vehicles advertising all sorts of products and throwing samples into the crowd.

And finally the riders came through.

The final corner with 500m to go

The stage was won by Dylan Groenewagen from the Australian Jayco team by only the width of a rim..

There was then time for a nice shower to cool off.

Nice spot for a shower
