Started the day at the Technika Museum to give Mamfa his science and engineering fix. There was a big focus on transport (shipping, rail and aviation) so he was in his element. They also had a forging area with some fantastic creations including a violin that combines the interests of both Afa and Jafa.




I got to get a bit involved as well as you can see below

We then ventured back in time at the Stasi Museum which was the headquarters of the East German secret police before the wall fell. Very interesting but terrifying what the people had to put up with under surveillance their whole lives and wondering which neighbour or friend or colleague would dob you in. One floor was left as it was found in 1989.




Finished the day with 130,000 of our closest friends watching Germany v Switzerland on the big screens at Brandenburg Gate. It was jubilation first (before goal was disallowed), then despair when Switzerland scored, the jubilation again in the 92nd minute when Germany equalised to finish top of their group.
