Today was my day. After too many days of Mamfa feeding me pork, chicken, fish and beetroot soup, I finally found something more to my liking.
The bike ride today was from Kacergine to Kaunas (Lithuania’s second largest city and former capital). I took control today in directing the ride. It typically followed the Nemunas River along a bike path.

In Kaunas, we visited the main square of the Old Town which also had some friends to meet (they are characters from the world first ever puppet film made by Wladyslaw Starewicz).

The Basilica was a fairly plain, non-descript church from the outside but inside was amazingly ornate in inside.
We finished with a bit of a mystery ride through Pinewood Park trying to find our bus before a transfer to the capital Vilnuis. Total ride today was 39km.
Mamfa finished reading “The Thursday Murder Club” by Richard Osman. 4 stars.
