An epic trip to major sporting events throughout Europe & the USA

Day 14: Cycle the Baltics Tour Day 4: Estonia to Latvia

Started the day on a run with Mamfa to see the Upside Down House, Estonian National Museum and a local cathedral. I couldn’t quite get the right view of the house.

When then we rode from Otepaa to Valga which took us through the “Estonian Switzerland” of rolling hills. The highest “mountain” in Estonia is a soaring 318m! It was not a great day weatherwise as we battled the strong headwinds and then rain towards the end. The scenery was pleasant though. We ended the ride just near the border of Latvia and then travelled by bus to the capital, Riga.

Some key facts about Latvia

– Population – 1.9 million

– Capital City – Riga

– National Sport – Ice Hockey

Riding into Valga

We explored a bit of the Old Town Riga where I met a few friends while Mamfa tried out the local cuisine.
